What is the frame number and where do I find it?

The frame number is the unique identification number the bike manufacturer is required to give the bike.

It is typically engraved in the bike frame and can be in several different places depending on the manufacturer. On most bikes you will find it between the pedals on the underside of the bike. If you cannot find it, it is a good idea to ask a bike dealer — preferably one that sells the same brand.
